  Article 46-Internal investigation
46.1 Internal investigation
  Internal investigations are a vital part of maintaining police integrity. However, under the honor system, the internal investigation units of the police must recognize when a person uphold the honor of the force by confessing to a breach of duty and/or crime first rather than having found a crime or not allowing that person the right to confess.
  Furthermore, internal investigations must begin from the premise of respect and courtesy towards fellow police officers rather than one of implied guilt or disrespect. Therefore, the following rules apply to the handling of any internal investigations of police conduct:
  (i) The judicial code rules of evidence apply;
  (ii) The officer must be presumed innocent until proven guilty;
  (iii) Criminal investigations and offences apply the same way as the Judicial Code, Criminal Code and Police Code for investigations;
  (iv) An officer who admits guilt at a 1st interview and maintains honor, even if guilty of a crime must be shown the utmost respect and never arrested or dishonorably removed in front of their peers;
  (v) An officer who failt to behave honorably in the overwhelming face of evidence and is cowardly towards admitting guilt shall be dishonorable and shall be shown no respect in open arrest in front of peers, nor family.
