Document management standards |
| |
(1) That once created, a document should not be destroyed. After use it may be archived. Any attempt to deliberately destroy or remove documents, without adequate archive should be considered a crime of official government documents and corporate documents. |
| |
(2) That document management systems should be capable of assocating the various versions of documents to one string of files and that duplicates can be found and removed across a system. |
| |
(3) That an organisation holds one accurate copy of each version of a document, rather than multiple and duplicate copies of the same document on its systems. |
| |
(4) That the viewing, reading and uploading of new versions of documents are tracked against the people who performed such actions. |
